Prologis Park Senec: Where IPEC’s story in Senec began

Prologis Park Senec is one of the largest logistics and business hubs in Slovakia. Located just 15km from Bratislava and 50km from Vienna, with direct access to the D1 motorway between the two capitals, the park covers more than 400 hectares. Over 70 companies operate on site, and more than 5.000 people work here every day in logistics, manufacturing, distribution and retail.

IPEC Group laid the foundation

The development of the park started in 2004 under the leadership of IPEC Group. Since then, IPEC has developed approximately 250 hectares of the site and built the essential infrastructure: roads, utilities, access points and support services. For many of the companies in the park, IPEC delivered the full cycle of land development, design, construction and project management.

Some of the halls developed by IPEC were later acquired by Prologis, the global owner and developer of logistics real estate that gives the park its name today. Others are owned by the companies that use them.

Warehouse developments by IPEC in the park

Two of IPEC’s largest projects are located in Prologis Park Senec:

  • Parkridge DC I (completed 2006): a warehouse development with 90.000 m² on a 200.000 m² site, one of the largest projects in IPEC’s history
  • Goodman (completed 2008): a warehouse development with 45.000 m² on a 300.000 m² site

Between 2010 and 2019, IPEC added infrastructure and halls for Scania, DHL and Prologis, continuing to shape the park as a location for international logistics and industry.

Companies in the park

IPEC Group developed buildings or infrastructure for many of the companies based in Prologis Park Senec, among them Prologis, Goodman, Scania, Tesco, Gebrüder Weiss, Lagermax, Parkridge, Böllhoff, Schmitz Cargobull, Kuhn, Lidl, Frans Maas and P.Max. Their presence shows how the land and infrastructure prepared by IPEC turned a greenfield site into one of the leading logistics locations in Central Europe.

Prologis Park Senec is a reference project: IPEC does not offer plots or buildings here. About 14 hectares of the park remain fully owned and continuously developed by IPEC: D1 Park Senec. All properties IPEC currently offers in Senec are located there, from development land with building permits to halls, offices and the D1 Center.
