This is not our account of the weekend. DA VINCI PRODUCTION, s. r. o., the company we hired to run the technical and artistic production of Zogrod 2026, delivered its own evaluation on 26 August. It counts the audience at 190 to 230 different people over the two days, in a village that had 193 residents on 1 January 2026. Our own report on the two days, with the full programme, is here.
Where the numbers come from
Zogrod does not sell tickets, so there is no gate figure to report. The producer estimated attendance from the photo documentation of each act and checked it against the seating actually installed: 15 to 18 beer-garden benches at four to five people each. That method gives ranges rather than numbers, and the ranges below are exactly as wide as the method allows. Anyone counting the same photographs would land in the same brackets, not on the same figure.
What each act drew
Saturday 22 August, people present
- 90-11517:00 · Folklórny podvečer: SusediaBetween 65 and 80 people seated on the benches, another 25 to 35 standing.
- 110-13019:00 · Divadlo na predmestí: Rysavá jalovicaThe busiest hour of the weekend.
- 60-7020:30 · Lomnické čháveThe band billed as the musical headliner.
Sunday 23 August, people present
- 40-5516:00 · Divadlo Actores: Pipi Dlhá PančuchaA family audience, counted seated.
Figures are concurrent attendance per act. The weekend total of 190 to 230 accounts for people who came for one act and left again.

The theatre outdrew the headliner
The finding the report leaves us with sits between two consecutive hours. The comic adaptation of Martin Kukučín’s Rysavá jalovica held 110 to 130 people at 19:00. The concert that followed at 20:30, programmed as the musical headliner, held 60 to 70. The professional theatre was the draw, and the peak of the weekend sat in the middle of Saturday evening rather than at the end of it.
That happened against competition. The town days in Spišská Stará Ves, the district centre down the valley, ran from 21 to 23 August, across the same weekend. A village of 193 people still drew more visitors than it has residents, which means most of the audience travelled in from the surrounding villages of Zamagurie rather than walking down from Malá Franková itself.
Nine people on site
The weekend was run by a crew of nine: five in production, two on sound, one on catering and one hosting. The site layout followed a technical ground plan drawn up before the build, which decided where the stage, the seating slope, the refreshment stand and the children’s attractions ended up. The report’s own conclusion is deliberately unspectacular: the festival ran without complications and within the expectations both sides had set, assessed jointly by the managing directors of IPEC Group and DA VINCI PRODUCTION.
